Tapered Roller Bearings

Tapered roller bearings (TRBs) are specially designed to handle combined radial and axial loads, primarily in one direction. Featuring an inner ring (cone), outer ring (cup), and tapered rolling elements, these bearings create a conical geometry that ensures efficient load distribution and superior rigidity. The angled raceways enable the bearing to support axial forces in addition to heavy radial loads — the greater the contact angle, the higher the axial load capacity.

TRBs are typically used in paired configurations (back-to-back or face-to-face) to accommodate axial loads in both directions and are available in single-row, double-row, and four-row designs. With precision-matched separable components and options for standardized or customized internal clearances, tapered roller bearings offer outstanding versatility for high-load and high-speed industrial applications.

Key Features:

  • Designed for high radial and axial load handling
  • Separable design allows independent installation of cup and cone
  • Available in single-row, double-row, and four-row designs
  • Offered with C3/C4 clearance options for high-speed and thermal conditions
  • Ideal for paired mounting to support bidirectional axial forces
  • Long service life under heavy shock and vibration

Common Applications:

  • Automotive wheel hubs and transmissions
  • Industrial gearboxes and reducers
  • Agricultural and construction machinery
  • Crushers, conveyor pulleys, and heavy-duty rollers
  • Rail axle boxes and rolling stock
  • Oilfield equipment and mining applications
