Spherical Roller Bearings
Spherical roller bearings (SRBs) are high-capacity rolling bearings engineered to support extremely heavy radial loads and moderate axial loads in both directions. Their defining feature is a spherical outer raceway that allows the bearing to self-align, compensating for shaft misalignment, bending, or housing deformation — without compromising performance.
These bearings contain two rows of asymmetrical barrel-shaped rollers that distribute loads evenly across the contact surface, reducing friction and enabling smooth rotation under high stress. SRBs are available in a variety of internal clearances (C3, C4), cage materials (steel, brass, or polyamide), and sealing configurations for use in extreme environments.
Whether operating under high shock loads, vibration, or contamination, spherical roller bearings deliver consistent reliability and long service life, making them the preferred solution for demanding industrial applications.
Key Features:
- Self-aligning capability absorbs shaft misalignment and housing deflection
- Handles high radial loads and moderate axial loads in both directions
- Available with C3/C4 clearances for thermal expansion and dynamic load demands
- Multiple cage options (steel, brass, polyamide) based on speed and load requirements
- Offered in open or sealed versions for harsh or contaminated environments
- Compatible with adapter sleeves or direct mounting on cylindrical shafts
Common Applications:
- Gearboxes and heavy industrial reducers
- Mining and quarry equipment
- Cement and aggregate processing plants
- Paper mills and steel mills
