Insert Bearings (UC Series)

Insert ball bearings, also known as wide inner ring bearings or UC bearings, are robust, self-contained bearing units designed for easy installation in pillow blocks, flanged housings, and other mounted bearing systems. These bearings feature an extended inner ring with set screws or eccentric locking collars for secure shaft mounting — making them ideal for applications with frequent mounting/dismounting or shaft misalignment.

The spherical outer diameter of the insert bearing allows it to self-align within the housing, absorbing static misalignment and reducing vibration. Most models include dual-lip rubber seals (2RS) and are factory pre-lubricated with high-quality grease, offering excellent protection in dirty or wet environments.

Key Features:

  • Wide inner ring with grub/set screws or eccentric collar for firm shaft locking
  • Spherical outer surface allows self-alignment within the housing
  • Pre-lubricated and sealed (2RS) for maintenance-free operation
  • Available in inch or metric bores, including stepped bore sizes (e.g., UC204-12)
  • Compatible with standard pillow block (UCP), flange (UCF), and take-up (UCT) housings

Common Applications:

  • Agricultural machinery (plows, harvesters, conveyors)
  • Material handling equipment and conveyors
  • Fans, blowers, and HVAC units
  • Construction machinery
  • Food processing and packaging systems
  • Washdown and high-dust environments
